The Industry Department of the National Development and Reform Commission held a seminar on carbon peaks in the steel, nonferrous metals and building materials industries.
In order to implement the major decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on carbon neutralization, and accelerate the promotion of energy-saving and low-carbon transformation and development of steel, non-ferrous metals, building materials and other industries, on March 19, the Industry Department of the National Development and Reform Commission hosted the steel and non-ferrous Metals and building materials industry carbon peak work seminars, the meeting focused on scientifically formulating carbon peak plans for key industries, promoting low-carbon transformation of industries, and improving energy efficiency.

WBMS: 16000 tons in short supply in global nickel market from January to April
The World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) said on Wednesday that there was a shortage of 16,000 tonnes of nickel in the global market from January to April this year. In 2009, there was an oversupply of 16,100 tons.
